Spring Cleanse Vegetable Juice with Asparagus, Cucumber and Tomato

Here’s a Spring cleanse vegetable juice for you. I know it’s not Spring, but this one is good all year round.

This is an interesting recipe because I’ve never juiced asparagus. Steamed asparagus is delicious and I have always loved cold cooked asparagus on salads, so juicing them should work too. I had to try it.

I liked this recipe, especially over ice. I used a very large tomato and cucumber and could definitely taste them. Just a hint of lemon and a little asparagus flavor. Good vegetable juice! Try it if you like asparagus as I do.

Spring Cleanse Vegetable Juice Recipe

Makes 20+ ounces

  • 1 cucumber, peeled
  • 1 vine-ripened tomato
  • 8 asparagus stalks
  • 1/2 lemon peeled

banana bread smoothieOkay, here’s a different one to try out, the Banana Bread Smoothie. This comes from the Metabolic Cooking program. I had to try this one because it uses cooked oats. I regularly have oatmeal for breakfast, so what better than an oatmeal smoothie.

I have tried smoothies in my Nutribullet Pro with oats added and they are delicious, but cooked oats! I had to try.

It is a very good and healthy recipe. You won’t be disappointed if you like oatmeal.

Notes: Cook oats (with water) and cool. Put all ingredients in a blender
