Beet Juice Recipe | Beet, Carrot and Apple Aphrodisiac

So simple beet juice recipe. Another favorite recipe of mine from The Juicing Bible.

3 ingredients that are tasty, nutritious and juicy. I get a lot of juice from beet root using my Omega J8004. The carrots and apples add just that much more delicious nutritional juice to this recipe. It doesn’t take a lot to fill up a tall glass, just 2 of each ingredient.

I’ve been reading a lot lately about beet root as an aphrodisiac. It’s because of the high amounts of boron in beet root, which is directly related to the production of human sex hormones. Interesting fact, huh?

Beet juice is also high in vitamins and minerals. It contains potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron; vitamins A, B & C; beta-carotene, beta-cyanine and folic acid.beet juice recipe

Beet Juice Recipe Made So Simple

Using a juicer, process beets, beet tops, carrots and apples. Whisk and pour into glasses.

Makes 20 ounces

  • 2 beets ( I used one large beet)
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 apples

Spring Cleanse Vegetable Juice with Asparagus, Cucumber and Tomato

Here’s a Spring cleanse vegetable juice for you. I know it’s not Spring, but this one is good all year round.

This is an interesting recipe because I’ve never juiced asparagus. Steamed asparagus is delicious and I have always loved cold cooked asparagus on salads, so juicing them should work too. I had to try it.

I liked this recipe, especially over ice. I used a very large tomato and cucumber and could definitely taste them. Just a hint of lemon and a little asparagus flavor. Good vegetable juice! Try it if you like asparagus as I do.

  • 1 cucumber, peeled
  • 1 vine-ripened tomato
  • 8 asparagus stalks

Beet – Cucumber Cleansing Juice Recipe with Carrots, Cucumber, Beets and Celery

I was a little hesitant to make the Beet – Cucumber Cleansing Juice just because it had so many ingredients, but really it’s not to difficult to make.  There are 7 ingredients, but ginger and lemon are so easy to add to a juice it doesn’t make sense for me not to try it at least once. I’m so happy I did.

This is a delicious blend. I could taste every ingredient, but none of them were overpowering. I’ll be making the Beet – Cucumber Cleansing Juice again.

Why is this a cleansing juice? For one, beets. Beets are good for the kidney, liver and bladder. Beetroot juice is also believed to be a blood purifier and is good for intestinal cleanses.

Be careful about the leaves though. The leaves are high in oxalate and people on a low oxalate diet should avoid consuming too much of the beetroot stems and leaves.beet - cucumber cleansing juice

Makes 20+ ounces with a large cucumber

  •  1 cucumber, peeled
  • 3 carrots, scrubber well, tops removed, ends trimmed
  • 1 beet, scrubbed well, with stem and 1 or 2 leaves
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 handful parsley
  • 1 or 2 inch chunk ginger root scrubbed, or peeled if old (I used 1 inch)
  • 1/2 lemon, peeled

Researchers claims that compounds found in beets detoxify the liver and have the ability to cure diseases of the digestive system.

The benefits of juicing beets includes that it encourages liver cleansing, improves liver functioning and protects the liver from excessive alcohol consumption.

Juicing helps the body absorb all the nutrients from the fruits and vegetables. This is one of my main reasons for juicing.  You’ll be able to absorb more nutrients from your fruits and vegetables than if you were eating them raw or cooked.

Spinach Carrot Apple Juice | Simple Recipes

As I’m writing this, I’m headed to the kitchen to make this recipe, spinach carrot apple juice. Spinach is becoming my favorite green vegetable. Great to juice and great to eat in salads or cooked.

I have some spinach leftover that I’m afraid is going to go bad, some carrots that are in the same condition and a big red delicious apple. So I’m juicing what’s available and later today I’m going shopping for some more fresh produce.

Spinach is a pretty good source of vitamin C and in a study I read about, spinach showed evidence of significant protection against the occurrence of aggressive prostate cancer. Good stuff, eh?

As far as apples go, did you ever hear the old saying, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.”? Apples are one of my favorite fruits and go well into just about any juicing recipe to add a little sweetness.

This is off the topic of juicing a little. Have you ever tried stewed apples? Occasionally I have a stewed apple in the morning, because in studying Ayurvedic medicine a while back I learned stewed apples stimulate regular bowel movements. There are other benefits too. Kale, Peach and Apple Juice | Simple Recipes

I had some extra kale, peach and apple in my fridge, so I made this beautiful emerald juice. I love how kale looks when juiced. So beautiful! Don’t you agree?

Sometimes I buy too much at the grocery store right before I’m leaving town for a few days. I don’t know why I do that, but it happens. Then I think all of that stuff I just bought is going to get old. So what do you do with it? I juice it.

I don’t like letting things go to waste, especially good fruit and vegetables. These can be juiced and frozen if necessary. I’ve frozen juice in mason jars before and when thawed they are still very good. But remember, it’s always best to consume your fresh juice right away. Most people say within 20 minutes of juicing it.

Here’s a simple recipe I made with some kale, peach and apple. It’s delicious and so healthy. Kale is one of the healthiest vegetables around.

Here are just some of kale’s amazing benefits: High in calcium, high in vitamin C, high in vitamin K, high in vitamin A, has a good amount of Iron, anti cancer properties, helps to lower cholesterol levels, has an overall alkalizing effect on the body, great for detoxifying our bodies, high in chlorophyll and contains blood purifying properties.

Eating a diet high in Vitamin K can help protect against various cancers. It is also necessary for a wide variety of bodily functions including normal bone health and blood clotting. Also increased levels of vitamin K can help people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. –

Would you want to let that kale go to waste? Heck NO!
